With more than 20 years’ experience designing and art directing for Film, Television, Commercials and Music Videos, Katie specializes in set design, studio / location builds, concept development, managing teams & budgets of all size and ambition.


From Toronto and originally trained as an interior designer, Katie spent four years as a draftsperson on several feature films in Canada. She then embarked on a formal film education at the National Film & Television School in the UK. Choosing to remain in UK, she worked alongside designer Michael Howells on several film, theatre and fashion projects.


In 2006 Katie was featured in Screen International Magazine's, "The Stars of Tomorrow, Introducing the Class of 2006" as Production Designer to watch.


She has art directed several productions for designer Alison Dominitz which include, "4 Minutes'" Madonna & Justin Timberlake music video and the award winning Channel 4 Trilogy "Red Riding 1983".


Katie has also worked along designer David Lee on HBO's award winning series, "The Watchmen" in the UK and Universal's adaptation of "Brave New World" for Sky.


Recently Katie has moved on to design the "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts" TV Special for Warner Brothers, establish the new Tracy Beaker series "The Beaker Girls" and design 26 episodes of Enid Blyton's "Malory Towers" for BBC in Devon & Cornwall.
